An out of this world, lunar-inspired, series of events.

Dorset Moon

Dorset Moon is a lunar-inspired, series of cultural events across Dorset, commissioned by The Arts Development Company and hosted by a creative consortium that included: Inside Out Dorset, b-side and Bournemouth Arts By the Sea.

At the centrepiece of this event was the internationally acclaimed Museum of the Moon by Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in
diameter, the moon features high-detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.  Once placed in settings such as Sherbourne Abbey and Nothe Fort it really does capture the imagination.

Lost & Found had the pleasure of branding this event and producing colleteral that included: an event programme,  promotional flyers, posters, banners, directional signage, web and social media graphic assets and a marketing and tourism pack, helping Dorset businesses to maximise the potential of this inspirational event.

The chosen creative concept for this project was to combine the powerful installation images, supplied by Luke Jerram, with location-specific layered papercut illustrations to produce a more graphic look and feel.

Lost & Found had the pleasure of working with papercut illustrator, Lee-Ann Donaldson to create this unique set of images that could be used in static form, individually, or be combined and brought to life with animation.

Working with partner agency, Dashing Bear Productions, the animated film helped whet the appetite and promote this fantastic event; it took the audience, young and old on a voyage of lunar discovery across the Dorset landscape.
